The Pinewalk Penguins Swim Team is 100% run by volunteers. We know everyone's lives are busy, but it takes parent involvement to run the swim team, and many hands make light work! Contact Us if you would like to join the committee.

COMMITTEE ROLES
Team Manager
- Falls Fins representative to the Atlanta Swimming Association (ASA) and SwimTopia; attends all required ASA and SwimTopia meetings. Acts as the liaison between the ASA/SwimTopia and the team/coaches.
- Manages the coaching staff
- Serves as a communication point for all parent feedback
- Communicates with the HOA Board and Property Manager (e.g. reserving facilities, providing home meet dates, etc.)
- Works with property manager to ensures the pool facilities are ready for the season (e.g. starting blocks, flags, etc.)
- Promote swim team through social media and content for weekly emails
- Manages communication with opponents for each swim meet
- Manages the team website and content updates as required
- Provide swim team community with updates via email
- Manages the budget and expenses throughout the season, including registration fees and coaching salaries.
- Acquires sponsorship
Treasurer
- Manages of the budget and expenses throughout the season, including registration fees and coaching salaries.

- Works with Concession Coordinator on pricing/expenses, responsible for ensuring concessions has cash on hand to run home meet concession stand
Volunteer Coordinator
- Manages the sign-up of all parent volunteers
- Ensures that parents are aware of their obligations and communicates volunteer assignments before each meet
- Trains volunteers as necessary
- Manage and coordinates volunteers during each meet
Spiritwear/Swimwear Coordinator
- Researches vendors, provides cost and manages the design of the t-shirts and swimwear
- Manages the order process for t-shirts and swimwear
- Manages the delivery of apparel to parents/swimmers
Computer Operations
- Attends ASA/SwimTopia meeting to learn how to use the Meet Maestro software
- Responsible for inputting swim results for every event during swim meets
- Responsible for printing ribbons during swim meets
Concessions Coordinator
- Manages the inventory, shops for the required supplies and food, orders pizzas to be sold on meet day
- Responsible for concession menu
- Works with Treasurer on budget and pricing of goods
- Manages the set-up and clean-up of the concession stand
- Manages the selling of food and drinks at concessions during home meets
- Manages and trains concessions volunteers
Team Photographer/Social Media Coordinator
- Responsible for taking photos at meets, Fun Fridays and all social events
- Communicate and collect photos from swim parents
- Uploads, manages and edits photos in Falls Fins google drive
- Manages social media platforms
- Assists Head Coach with photo slide show to be shown at the year-end party
